Abedeen International School is the Cambridge-pathway arm of Abedeen Academy in Cyberjaya. The Academy operates three schools on a single campus at The Promenade, Garden Residensi, Cyber 3: this international school, Sekolah Rendah Abedeen (KSSR national primary), and Sekolah Menengah Abedeen (KSSM national secondary). The shared campus means families can place siblings in different streams without separate school runs.

The international stream uses English as the primary medium of instruction and integrates Islamic education through the Abedeen Thematic Learning approach. Rather than isolating religious studies into standalone periods, this method threads Islamic values across subjects including science, mathematics, and language arts.

Curriculum at Abedeen International School

Abedeen International School follows the Cambridge International curriculum across three stages:

• Cambridge Primary (Year 1-6): Core subjects are English, Mathematics, and Science, assessed through Cambridge Primary Checkpoint at Year 6.
• Cambridge Lower Secondary (Year 7-9): Extended subject options with Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint at Year 9.
• Cambridge Upper Secondary (Year 10-11): Students sit for Cambridge IGCSE examinations.

Arabic Language, Quran Studies, and Islamic Studies run alongside the Cambridge programme at every stage. The school also offers Bahasa Malaysia instruction for Malaysian students. Abedeen Academy has partnerships with UiTM and Gulf Medical University for post-secondary pathways.

Graduates from Sekolah Rendah Abedeen who want to switch from the national to the international stream can do so within the same campus at the Year 7 entry point.

Admissions at Abedeen International School

Abedeen International School processes enrolment through the ALBAB online registration system at albab.abedeen.edu.my. Required documents include the student’s birth certificate, previous academic records, and passport-size photographs. International students must provide a valid student pass.

The international stream intake runs in September each year, while the national stream (SR and SM Abedeen) follows the January Malaysian academic calendar. Average class size at Abedeen Academy is 16 to 20 students.
