About ELC International School

ELC International School was founded in 1987, making it one of the longest-established international schools in Malaysia with over 37 years of operation. The Sungai Buloh campus sits on 6 acres in the Sierramas residential area.

ELC follows the British National Curriculum (England and Wales) delivered through Cambridge Assessment International Education, leading to Cambridge IGCSE examinations. The school serves students aged 3 to 16 (Early Years through Year 11). A second ELC campus operates in Cyberjaya (established 2010).

Approximately 650 students are enrolled at the Sungai Buloh campus, with a school limit of 750. Maximum class size is 20 students. A dedicated Welfare Department with a school counsellor supports student wellbeing.

Curriculum at ELC International School

The British National Curriculum at ELC runs from Early Years Foundation Stage through Key Stage 4:

• Early Years (ages 3-5): Foundation Stage with play-based and structured learning
• Key Stage 1-2 (Year 1-6): Cambridge Primary programme
• Key Stage 3 (Year 7-9): Cambridge Lower Secondary
• Key Stage 4 (Year 10-11): Cambridge IGCSE examinations

Languages taught are English (primary medium), Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Spanish. Co-curricular activities include British Scouts Overseas and St. John Ambulans. The school year runs September to July.

School hours: Monday to Thursday 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, Friday 8:15 AM to 1:10 PM.

Facilities at ELC International School

The 6-acre Sungai Buloh campus comprises four purpose-built buildings. Facilities include a half Olympic swimming pool, 2-acre sports field, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, badminton courts, library, science laboratory, IT centre, Milne Hall Lecture Theatre, and a music and performing arts studio.

ELC is located at Jalan Sierramas Barat, Sierramas, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The campus is accessible from NKVE and the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, serving families in Sungai Buloh, Sierramas, Kota Damansara, and Damansara Damai.
