Maverick International Primary School (MIPS) has been operating in Semenyih since 2011. The school runs alongside Maverick International Secondary School (MISS, established 2019) across two campuses in the Semenyih area. MIPS occupies the Taman Desa Mewah campus while MISS operates from Taman Anggerik Perdana in Bandar Teknologi Kajang.

Curriculum at Maverick International Primary School

MIPS delivers the Cambridge Primary programme as part of the Cambridge Pathway by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The programme covers two stages:

MaverKids (ages 3 to 5): Early years programme focused on school readiness. Enrollment is based on each child’s developmental readiness rather than strict age cutoffs.

Cambridge Primary (ages 6 to 12): A broad and balanced curriculum building foundations in English, Mathematics, and Science. Students develop five Cambridge Learner Attributes: Confident, Responsible, Reflective, Inventive, and Engaged. At the end of the primary stage, students sit for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examinations.

The school emphasises three areas of development: academics, character building, and athleticism. Teaching uses a hybrid model called H.O.P.E (Hybrid, Online, Physical Education) that combines classroom instruction with digital tools including virtual whiteboards and video-based learning.

Graduates of MIPS can continue to Maverick International Secondary School for Cambridge IGCSE (Year 7 to Year 11) on the same Semenyih campus.
