Regent International School opened in 2011 in Taman Palm Grove, Klang, becoming the first and, as of 2026, still the only registered international school in Klang proper. Before Regent, families in Klang who wanted an international education had to commute to Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, or Kuala Lumpur.
