About IISM Kuantan

The IISM Kuantan campus opened in September 2013. The parent IISM was established in 1998 in Gombak and is wholly owned by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The Kuantan branch serves the East Coast of Malaysia from within the IIUM compound at Bandar Indera Mahkota.

IISM Kuantan follows the Cambridge International curriculum integrated with a mandatory Islamic education framework called the KHALIFAH Framework. Students sit for IGCSE at secondary level and can continue to Cambridge A-Levels in Science or Business/Humanities streams. Arabic Language, Quran Studies, and Islamic Studies are compulsory across all year groups.

The school draws approximately 700 students from 35+ countries. Languages of instruction are English, Malay, and Bahasa Indonesia.

Curriculum at IISM Kuantan

The Cambridge-Islamic integrated curriculum at IISM Kuantan covers primary through pre-university:
